A teenager was injured when a train hit a station in St. Petersburg

A 15-year-old boy was injured at the Rzhevka station in St. Petersburg as a result of an electric train collision. The Department of Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North-Western Federal District announced this in its Telegram channel on Monday, June 23.
The hit-and-run occurred last weekend on the 7th km of the 8th picket of the Rzhevka railway station. Arriving transport police officers found that a 15-year-old boy who was walking along the railway tracks wearing headphones had been injured by the train.
"The driver repeatedly gave sound signals and applied emergency braking, but a collision could not be avoided," the agency said in a statement.
The victim was hospitalized. He is in one of the hospitals in St. Petersburg, the 78 TV channel clarifies.
A check has been organized on the fact of the incident. All circumstances are being established.
On June 6, a train in St. Petersburg hit a woman who found herself on the tracks at the Chernyshevskaya metro station. The woman died on the spot.
