The UK has completed the investigation of the criminal case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall

The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation has completed the investigation of the criminal case of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow. This was announced on June 23 by the official representative of the department Svetlana Petrenko.

"The investigation has established that this inhuman crime was planned and committed in the interests of the current leadership of Ukraine in order to destabilize the political situation in our country. In addition, a number of the accused planned to blow up an entertainment complex in the city of Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan, but this crime was prevented," the report says.

According to Petrenko, preparations for the terrorist attack began several months before the incident. At the same time, some of the accused persons arrived in Russia from abroad, where they underwent initial training. Also, some participants searched for funds and tools to commit a terrorist attack, while the rest constantly carried out the conversion of firearms, and then handed them over to members of the terrorist organization.

It is noted that it was transported to the city of Kaspiysk, from where it was delivered to the Moscow region before the terrorist attack.

In addition, some accomplices received instructions from the organizers to leave the country, but were detained while trying to cross the border. The perpetrators of the terrorist attack while trying to travel to Ukraine were also detained in the Bryansk region.

Currently, the criminal case against 19 defendants has been sent to the prosecutor for transfer to the court. The preliminary investigation continues with respect to two organizers and four participants of the terrorist organization.

In March, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, announced the completion of investigative actions in the criminal case of the terrorist attack in less than a year. It was clarified that the defendants and their defenders are currently completing their review of the case file.

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall took place on March 22, 2024. Terrorists in camouflage broke into the building, they started shooting and set fire to the concert hall. As a result of the attack, 149 people were killed and 609 injured.
