Erdogan speaks about Turkey's efforts to prevent a catastrophe after the attacks on Iran

Ankara is making active efforts to prevent attacks on Iran from escalating into a major catastrophe. This was announced on June 23 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"Turkey is making active efforts to ensure that attacks by Israel and its supporters against our neighbor Iran do not escalate into an even greater catastrophe," he is quoted as saying on the Anadolu agency's Telegram channel.

Erdogan stressed that Turkey does not approve of attacks on Iran, regardless of "who they come from." He stressed that the attacks on the Islamic Republic threaten its sovereignty and security in the region.
