The Shcherbinsky Court of Moscow found Svetlana Agibalova and Vladislav Remnev guilty and sentenced them to 3.5 years in prison in the case of vandalism at the apartment of Izvestia war correspondent Valentin Trushnin. This was reported on June 23 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The incident occurred in October 2023. On October 18, a drawing of a pentagram with a pig's head and candles placed nearby were found near the door of the Izvestia military commander's apartment. Trushnin himself was not at home, he was on a business trip to Israel.

Commenting on the incident, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Kiev regime was carefully preparing an assassination attempt on Trushnin.
