Yekaterinburg Football Club (FC) Ural has announced the appointment of Miroslav Romashchenko as the head coach of the main team. Information about this was published on the club's official website on June 23.

"Miroslav Romashchenko is the head coach of FC Ural. The decision was made by the club's Board of Directors. Miroslav Yurievich joined the coaching staff of our team in January 2025," the statement said.

It is reported that Ural, led by Romashchenko, will begin pre-season training on June 25.

During his career, the 51-year-old Belarusian specialist has coached Akhmat, Salyut and Tom, worked on the coaching staffs of Ferencvaros, Legia, Spartak Moscow and Dynamo, Amkar and Sochi, Sport-Express adds.

On May 31, Akhmat beat Ural from Yekaterinburg in the return play-off match with a score of 2:0. According to the sum of two matches, Akhmat defeated Ural (3-2) and retained its place in the Russian championship for the next season.
