The Iranian air Defense Forces shot down an Israeli F-35 fighter jet in Tabriz. This was announced on June 23 by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

"An Israeli F-35 fighter jet was shot down by air defense fire from fighters of the Iranian armed forces in Tabriz," the IRGC Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the pilot of the downed plane was detained.
