Russia is ready to provide assistance to Iran in the form that the Islamic Republic requires. This was announced on June 23 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"The type of support from the Iranian side <...> will depend on what Iran needs now," he said.

As noted by "Gazeta.Peskov clarified that Russia has already offered its mediation efforts, as well as outlined an official position on the situation, which, according to him, is also a form of support.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi, said that the attacks on Iran were an unprovoked aggression that had no justification. He added that against the background of the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, the Russian side is making efforts to assist the Iranian people.
