On June 21, within the framework of the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), a Youth Day was held — a space for dialogue, search for solutions and personal growth for future leaders. The event once again confirmed its key role in shaping the country's human resources and supporting the self-realization of the younger generation.

More than 8000 participants took part in the events of the SPIEF youth program, which is a 33% increase in the number of participants in 2024. Students, young professionals, representatives of start-ups and public initiatives, and youth project coordinators gathered at the site. "SPIEF has been around for 28 years, and we see young people growing up with the Forum, returning to it as participants in the global economic dialogue at the level of entrepreneurs and executives. Participation in international business events undoubtedly contributes to the qualitative development of a professional personality. I would like to note that the SPIEF is a driver of the development of different generations, which are formed approximately every two decades, with their own values and aspirations. At the Forum, we can observe the exchange of experience and the creation of joint initiatives between them," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.

The SPIEF Youth Day covered 37 sessions. The site was visited by representatives of more than 220 universities and about 60 scientific organizations. Opinion leaders, representatives of the largest companies and business owners took part as speakers, who were able to inspire the participants to further their development.

The focus of the activity was on practice-oriented content and formats aimed at creating opportunities for self-realization of young talented leaders, developing the institute of mentoring and involving young people in solving issues of the global socio-economic agenda. Among the topics: business support measures, the development of professional youth communities, international scientific and technological projects, tourism, ecology. "As part of the SPIEF Youth Day, we always strive for a practice-oriented way of communicating students and young professionals with potential employers. Among the diverse growth platforms at the Forum is the Country's Potential project, which is a unique platform for talented aspiring professionals to find career opportunities in the country's largest companies, including those represented at SPIEF. We are convinced that young people are the energy of adaptation, the speed of thinking, openness to new things, incredible learning ability and the ability to work in the digital space, so we intend to support them with our projects," said Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board, Director of the Roscongress Foundation.

As part of the Youth Day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a solemn ceremony was held to award the winners of the XXII season of the All–Russian competition "My Country is My Russia", a project of the presidential platform "Russia is a land of opportunities". 183 participants aged 18 and over made it to the final stage of the competition, and 39 authors of the best projects aimed at the socio-economic development of Russian territories won prizes.
