Owners of "gray" Li Auto in the Russian Federation will be allowed to officially service cars

Owners of Li Auto cars that were imported to Russia using alternative schemes will be able to link their car to a personal master account, which will allow them to receive service from authorized dealers. This is stated in the message of the Sinomach Auto concern, which was received by Izvestia on June 23.

"Until now, many owners of Li Auto SUVs imported unofficially were afraid of possible restrictions: the car was registered to a random user, so access to digital functions could be restricted at any time," the company explained.

Sinomach Auto said that this procedure will be free from June 23 to June 30, and then its cost will be set according to the maintenance rates of authorized dealers.

On May 28, it was reported that by the end of 2025, Sinomach Auto plans to expand the dealer network of the Li Auto brand (Lixiang) in Russia to 60 enterprises. The company plans to sell 12,000 Lixiang vehicles by the end of the year.

Prior to that, on May 22, it became known that representatives of Sinomach Auto and Li Auto companies are studying measures to combat unofficial Lixiang car dealers in Russia who violate service standards using gray schemes. Among them, the blocking of the multimedia system of cars imported illegally into Russia was mentioned.
