Moscow court fined Wikipedia 3 million rubles for LGBT propaganda

The Tagansky Court of Moscow fined Wikipedia 3 million rubles for LGBT propaganda (the movement is banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as extremist). This was reported to Izvestia in court on June 23.

It is noted that the online encyclopedia continues to ignore the legitimate demands of Roskomnadzor to remove illegal content, for which it has repeatedly been brought to administrative responsibility.

In parallel, a scandal is breaking out around the largest online encyclopedia in the United States.

Earlier, on May 6, it was reported that Wikipedia's fines for 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 reached 12.5 million rubles. Their total figure exceeded 41 million rubles.
