The Iranian parliament called the US attacks on the republic a strategic mistake by Trump.

US President Donald Trump made a strategic mistake when he decided to launch attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. This was announced on June 23 by the Chairman of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

"The American president made his strategic mistake by supporting the criminal actions of the Zionist regime and by directly entering the war against Iran," Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying on the Telegram channel.

He stressed that the United States had supported Israel from the very beginning of the conflict and was forced to intervene after Tel Aviv failed to destroy Iran's nuclear program on its own.

"We will not tolerate this and will definitely respond in a way that will make Trump regret his aggression against our country," Ghalibaf added.
