Russia plans to cancel visas with three countries in 2025

In Russia, I am considering an initiative that involves visa waiver with Myanmar, Jordan and Bahrain this year. This was announced on June 23 by Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry of Economic Development (MAYOR) of the Russian Federation.
"We will be glad and hope that agreements on all these countries will be concluded in 2025," he told TASS at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
According to Kondratiev, a project on the abolition of visas with Myanmar has now been finalized. He specified that this agreement will be fully signed by the leaders of the countries during the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
The head of the department added that projects with other countries are also in a "high degree of elaboration." At the same time, the Russian side intends to conclude similar agreements with Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Such measures, according to Kondratiev, will expand the tourist flow from these countries up to several times.
On April 22, it was reported that Russia and Oman signed an agreement on the mutual abolition of the visa regime for citizens of the two countries. Each of the parties grants citizens of the other party the right to stay in the territory of its state without a visa for 30 days each time they visit.
