In the Verkhnebureinsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory, a state of emergency (emergency) was introduced as a result of flooding. This was reported on the website of the regional government on June 23.

"Heavy rains that took place in the Verkhnebureinsky district over the weekend led to a sharp rise in water in three local rivers at once — in Chemchuko, Chegdomyn and Urgale. <...> An emergency mode has been introduced in the area," the message says.

It is specified that due to the water spill, 36 residential buildings were flooded, in which 87 people live, including 14 children. A temporary accommodation facility was deployed in the area of flooding.

According to the Government, no civilians were injured in the disaster. The situation is under the control of the authorities.

On June 20, it was reported that bad weather would cover the Khabarovsk Territory on June 21. Weather conditions were expected to worsen in the southern and central regions on Saturday, with possible achievement of the criteria for a dangerous phenomenon. The Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region has warned about the possible occurrence of emergencies at fuel and energy and housing and communal services facilities.
