A woman was sentenced to nine years in prison for selling drugs in Novosibirsk.


A court in Novosibirsk sentenced a woman to nine years in prison for the illegal sale of narcotic drugs. This was reported on June 23 in the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.
"The Kirovsky district court has passed a verdict against a 37-year-old local resident. She was found guilty of committing 19 crimes under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "d" of Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs")," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the accused, together with an unidentified person, purchased a narcotic substance, and then made 19 hiding places in the Kirovsky district. She failed to complete her plans, as she was detained by police officers. The court sentenced the woman to nine years of imprisonment in a correctional colony of the general regime.
Department of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) Primorsky Krai reported on June 16 that law enforcement officers had seized more than 8.5 kg of heroin from an ethnic organized criminal group in the region. It was clarified that a criminal case had been opened under Part 3 of Article 30 ("Preparation for a crime") and Part 5 of Article 228.1 ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
