The combat crew of 152 mm towed guns 2A65 "Msta-B" gunners of the Tula Airborne Troops destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy region. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on June 23.

It is specified that a camouflaged Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold, where the covert movement of enemy personnel was observed, was discovered in one of the forest plantations. After additional reconnaissance and confirmation of the target, its coordinates were transferred to the military for fire damage.

The paratrooper gunners immediately aimed their guns and hit the enemy's camouflaged stronghold with accurate shots. Objective monitoring footage obtained from the air in real time made it possible to verify the defeat of the target, the ministry added.

"After work, we fired at about 18 km, hitting enemy infantry. The enemy is retreating further and further every day," said the gunner of the 2A65 cannon with the call sign Dimon.

On June 22, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian Armed Forces had hit a military facility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region with a missile strike, and the enemy's losses exceeded 70 people. Also, an air defense team covering the training ground was destroyed by a Ram-type drone.
