The possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz will not be spared by the United States. This opinion was expressed on June 22 by Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"Oil is estimated on a global scale. If the Strait of Hormuz is closed, the United States will not be spared. No one is immune from the global oil shock — prices at gas stations will skyrocket," he wrote on the social network X (ex.Twitter).

This is how the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund reacted to a post saying that if the strait was closed, China would suffer the most, which, according to the author of the publication, could experience an "energy crisis."

Iranian MP Ismail Kousari said on June 22 that the Iranian parliament considers it necessary to block the Strait of Hormuz after the US strikes on the republic's nuclear facilities. He noted that the final decision will remain with the Supreme National Security Council of the country.
