Florida Panthers hockey players goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and defenseman Dmitry Kulikov wrapped themselves in Russian flags at the club's victory day parade in the National Hockey League (NHL).
The Florida players arrived on open-top double-decker buses to the victory celebration site on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The video of the athletes' appearance spread on social networks, and the event itself was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the local TV channel WSVN.
The parade was held on June 22 in Fort Lauderdale. Buses with athletes and everyone involved in the club passed through its streets. The hockey players showed the fans the Stanley Cup they had recently won.
On June 18, the Florida Panthers hockey Club defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in the sixth game of the final NHL playoff series and won the Stanley Cup.Striker Sam Reinhart and forward Matthew Tkachuk scored among the winners. Vasily Podkolzin was able to score against Edmonton. Thanks to this victory, Florida became the NHL champion and Stanley Cup winner for the second time in a row.
