In Russia, 1.2 billion low-quality and illegal goods were blocked by the introduction of a permissive regime at the cash registers of stores. This was announced on June 22 by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.

"Due to the introduction of a permissive regime, sales of 1.2 billion low-quality or illegal goods have been blocked at the cash registers of stores. Among them: beer — 299 million units, milk — 243 million, tobacco — 311 million, light industry — 187 million, soft drinks — 110 million," RIA Novosti quoted Alikhanov as saying.
