Doctors operated on Oleg Zubkov, director of the Taigan Park, after the lion attack. This was reported on June 23 in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.
It is specified that in order to stabilize his condition, he will remain in the Belogorskaya Central District Hospital until the morning.
"Next, it is planned to transfer the patient to the Republican Clinical Hospital named after N. A. Semashko," the department's Telegram channel says.
The press service of the Investigative Committee of Crimea and Sevastopol noted that the investigator conducted an initial inspection of the place where lev attacked Zubkov.
The animal attack occurred near a metal bridge over the habitat of the animals. A bucket was found there, which, according to preliminary data, was used to feed the lions. The department clarified that the survey of employees of the Taigan Park is ongoing.
Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea, reported on June 22 that while feeding predators, a lion attacked Zubkov and inflicted multiple injuries on him. The director of the park managed to get out of the cage, after which he lost consciousness. He was taken to the hospital, at that time Zubkov's condition was considered serious.
Later, Izvestia learned that doctors had managed to stabilize Zubkov's condition. At that time, no one was allowed into the hospital except the victim's relatives. Vasily Piskovoy, a veterinarian at Lviv Taigan Park, also confirmed that doctors had stabilized Zubkov's condition and clarified that his life was not in danger.
