Moscow has provided 49 buildings to businesses at a discounted rental rate

Investors in Moscow have renovated more than 50,000 square meters of real estate under the "1 ruble per square meter per year" program. This was announced on Sunday, June 22, by Vladimir Yefimov, Vice Mayor of the capital, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

According to him, over the 13 years of the program, 49 facilities have been put in order, the tenants of which have already switched to preferential terms.

In total, investors received management of about 70 buildings with an area of almost 64 thousand square meters. m. As specified by Moscow government Minister Ekaterina Solovyova, 24 objects with an area of more than 36 thousand square meters are used for schools and kindergartens, 21 more objects are architectural monuments, writes NSN. Four owners of hotel real estate have also switched to a preferential rate.

According to Kirill Purtov, head of the Moscow City Department for Competition Policy, 19 facilities were sold from 2022 to 2025, with an average of three bidders for each. The program has been in effect since 2012 and provides for the transfer of cultural heritage sites for educational and hotel purposes, subject to mandatory restoration and compliance with all city requirements, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

The restoration of historical sites is under the supervision of the Department of Cultural Heritage, writes RT.
