Sobyanin launched the third regular route of river electric vessels

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin launched a video conference from the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on the third route of the Novospassky –ZIL river electric transport.
As the official noted on June 20, the river electric vessel project proved to be in demand: in two years, passenger traffic amounted to about 2 million people.
The new 5.4 km route will connect four districts of the capital — Zamoskvorechye, Danilovsky, Tagansky and Yuzhnoportovy, the Moscow City News Agency reports. Passengers will be able to use six stops, including four new berths: Novospassky, Derbenevskaya Embankment, Torpedo and Simonovsky.
Avtozavodsky Bridge pier became part of the new route, and ZIL became the final stop of both the second and third routes, which will open up the possibility of transfers. The travel time from Novospassky Monastery to ZIL will be about 55 minutes, writes RT.
More than 55 thousand people live in the area of attraction of the new route, NSN clarifies. The line will improve transport links for the developing territory of the former ZIL industrial zone, where it is planned to build 8.5 million square meters. m of real estate.
Also on June 20, a new berth "Moskovskaya Verf" was opened on route No. 2 next to the future electric vessel production plant. By 2025, the fleet of river transport will grow to 31 vessels, according to Moscow 24.
