China condemned the US strikes on Iran and considered them a gross violation of the UN Charter.

The People's Republic of China (PRC) condemns the attack by the US Armed Forces on Iran's nuclear facilities and considers these strikes a violation of the UN Charter. This was announced on June 22 by China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Fu Tsung.

"China strongly condemns the US attacks on Iran and the bombing of nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). — Ed.," he said at a UN meeting.

According to the Chinese permanent representative, the international community should make all necessary efforts to resolve the conflict. In this regard, as he noted, "deeply saddened" by the number of civilian casualties, China calls for an immediate cease-fire and hostilities in the region, as well as for the effective protection of civilians.

In addition, as Tsung stressed, the parties need to resort to a fundamental way out of the current situation — dialogue and negotiations.

Attack Ceremony: The US attacked Iran

Washington has hit three nuclear facilities in Fordo, Netenza and Isfahan.

On June 22, the Russian Foreign Ministry also condemned the US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. As noted in the statement, the risk of conflict escalation in the Middle East after the incident "has increased significantly."
