Tennis player Medvedev lost to a Bagel in the final of the Halle tournament


Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev was defeated in the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Halle, Germany, on Sunday, June 22. The prize fund of the competition is more than €2.5 million.
In the decisive match, Medvedev lost to Alexander Bublik, the representative of Kazakhstan, who ranks 45th in the world ranking. The meeting ended with a score 3:6, 6:7 (4:7).
This victory will return Bublik to the top 30 of the ATP rankings, and Medvedev, despite the setback, will rise to ninth place, Sport-Express added.
Prior to this match, Medvedev had won all six face-to-face meetings with Bublik. For the Kazakhstani tennis player, this title became the fifth in his career and the first in the current season. During the tournament, he also beat world number one Yannick Sinner in the 1/8 finals.
