The United States must be held accountable for attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. This was announced on June 22 by President of the Islamic Republic Masoud Peseshkian during a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

"The United States attacked us. What would you do if you were in a similar situation? Naturally, they should get an answer," Peseshkian is quoted as saying on Iran's website.

During the conversation, the Iranian president also stated that the country is always ready for dialogue and interaction with Europe and "has never deviated from the path of diplomacy."

"France remains ready to move towards negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and will continue its efforts to end the conflict and restore stability," Macron stressed.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the US attack was aimed at three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. According to Trump, the operation was successful. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that American strikes could change history.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia condemns the US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, this irresponsible decision grossly violates the UN Charter.
