Germany declared the need to resolve the conflict in the Middle East

Germany and the European Union (EU) must contribute to the settlement of the armed conflict in the Middle East, otherwise a flood of Iranian refugees may pour into the EU. This was stated on June 22 in an interview with Izvestia by Gunnar Lindemann, a member of the Berlin Chamber of Deputies from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
"It would be helpful if Germany and the European Union found an opportunity to establish peace, because this attack and a new escalation will lead to new groups of refugees moving across the Iranian-Turkish border towards the European Union and Germany," Lindemann said.
According to the politician, the influx of refugees will cost German taxpayers a significant amount.
Commenting on the situation in the Middle East, Lindemann said that the war must be stopped because other countries in the Middle East may follow suit and get involved in the conflict.
"We need de-escalation in this situation, and the United States should also follow this path. First, [US President Donald] Trump said he needed two weeks to think, and now at night he gave the order to launch an attack. He is not a serious partner in international relations," the MP concluded.
Earlier, Trump said that the US attack was aimed at three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. According to him, the operation was successful. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that American strikes could change history.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia condemns the US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, this irresponsible decision grossly violates the UN Charter.
