There is a lull in the Iranian city of Qom, located near the Fordo uranium enrichment plant, which was attacked by the United States. This was reported on June 22 by Al Mayadeen correspondent Malik Abid.

"There is a complete lull in various spheres of civil life in the city of Qom. The transport system functions in the same way as in peacetime, and this is after the Fordo nuclear facility was attacked by the United States," the journalist said.

The correspondent added that the authorities of the Islamic Republic consider the strikes by the United States as a blow to peace in the region and a blatant violation of international law.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. The ministry stressed that this irresponsible decision grossly violates the UN Charter.

On June 22, US President Donald Trump announced that the US attack was aimed at three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. According to Trump, the operation was successful. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that American strikes could change history.
