Pezeshkian pointed to the US involvement in the Israeli attack on Iran

The US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities suggest that Washington was behind Israel's attacks on the Islamic Republic. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at a cabinet meeting on June 22.
"Last night's US attack on some of the country's nuclear facilities showed that the United States is the main culprit of the hostile actions of the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic," he was quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the Mehr news agency.
Peseshkian stressed that before that, the United States had hidden its role in the conflict, but "they were forced to come to the fore" after Israel failed to fulfill its tasks on its own.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. The ministry stressed that this irresponsible decision grossly violates the UN Charter.
On June 22, US President Donald Trump announced that the US attack was aimed at three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. According to Trump, the operation was successful. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that American strikes could change history.
