Russia is ready to continue dialogue with the United States to eliminate irritants in relations between the two countries. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).

"Yes, and we are having this conversation. There were two rounds of consultations on mutual irritants. This was supposed to be the third round. The Americans rescheduled it," she clarified.

According to the diplomat, Russia is now waiting for the United States to schedule a new round of consultations. Zakharova also promised to announce the date of resumption of negotiations after it becomes known.

Earlier in the day, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the pause in negotiations between Russia and the United States on issues related to diplomatic property and the so-called "diplomatic guards" arose due to disagreements over the venue of the meeting. He also noted that despite the pause, the dialogue between Moscow and Washington continues.

On June 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed to the normalization of Russian-American relations. According to him, now the bilateral contact of the states is in a more correct position than it was during the administration of former President of the United States Joe Biden.
