An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred in the southern part of Iran


An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 was recorded in southern Iran. This was announced on June 22 on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
According to the data, the tremors occurred 270 km south of the city of Kerman, which has a population of about 577 thousand people, and 88 km northeast of Bandar Abbas, a large port city with a population of more than 350 thousand people. The hearth was located at a depth of 10 km.
There was no information about casualties or damage.

On the same day, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 was reported on the website of the Institute of Geophysics of Ecuador. Its source lay at a depth of 45.5 km and was located near the city of Naranjal in the province of Guayas.
