The media learned about the agreement of the United States with Russia on the UN resolution on Ukraine

The United States secretly discussed its draft UN resolution on Ukraine with Russian diplomats. This was reported by the newspaper Le Monde on June 20, citing sources.

According to the publication, a few days before the vote, U.S. Charge d'affaires to the United Nations Dorothy Shi informed her colleagues from France and Great Britain, Nicolas de Riviere and Barbara Woodward, that Washington was asking Kiev to withdraw its draft. In addition, at the same time, the American side offered its own version, which was secretly discussed with the Russian Federation.

It is clarified that the resolution prepared by the American side was more neutral than the Ukrainian version.

In addition, the newspaper added that when the UN anti-Russian resolution on Ukraine was adopted, the alliance of the United States and European countries, which had been "collapsing for decades," collapsed.

On February 24, the UN General Assembly adopted an anti-Russian resolution on Ukraine, sponsored by the European Union (EU) and Kiev. The project was supported by 93 countries. 18 states voted against, including the United States, Israel and Hungary.
