- Nine thousand lamps were lit in Kursk in memory of the feat of the heroes of the Second World War

The annual All-Russian action "Fiery Pictures of War" was held in Kursk on June 22, the Day of Remembrance and Mourning.
Participants of the action lit 9,000 lamps in memory of the heroic deed of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War (WWII), from which they laid out an image of the Kursk Battle memorial complex and the inscription "80 years of Victory."
"The campaign has been taking place for the fifth year in the Kursk region. At first, we started with small volumes: one thousand candles, 2 thousand For the first time, a large fire painting appeared last year, 7 thousand candles were used. This year we have raised the bar," said Rinat Muratov, Chairman of the regional branch of the Volunteers of Victory Water Company.
He also noted that the patriotic action is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, and the Victory Volunteers and other activists honor this memorable date.
The action was also attended by Daniil Aguryanov, a member of the SVO, Chief of Staff of the Unarmia of the Kursk region, who came there with his nephews and sister.
"Our whole family honors the memory. The younger generation always learns from me what dates are approaching, why we remember them, why we come here. We also have our own examples in the family.: Our great—grandfather fought in the Great Patriotic War and was awarded the Order of Suvorov," he said.
On June 21, participants of the annual patriotic action "Memory Line", dedicated to preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War, lit 1,418 candles on the Crimean Embankment in Moscow, each of which is a symbol of one of the days of those tragic events.
