- Reuters reported on Vance's unwillingness to directly involve the United States in the conflict with Iran.

American Vice President Jay Dee Vance opposed the direct entry of the United States into the Iran-Israel conflict. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on June 21.
"During the conversation [between the leadership of the United States and Israel], Vice President J. D. Vance objected, saying that the United States should not be directly involved, and suggesting that the Israelis were going to drag the country into a war," the agency said.
It is clarified that US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also took part in the conversation, the rest of the participants in the conversation could not be identified.
Vance, on the air of the American Fox News channel, commenting on Trump's position on the Iranian nuclear program, said that US President Donald Trump would try to resolve the conflict with Iran diplomatically to the last. He stressed that Trump consistently defends the national interests of the United States.
