Filming of the movie "Hoi" about the leader and founder of the punk rock band "Gaza Strip" Yuri Klinsky is scheduled to begin in the summer. Vladimir Shchegolkov, the director of the upcoming film, told Izvestia about this during the Pilot TV series festival in Ivanovo.

"This is some kind of amazing movie for us. I have been working on this project for five years now, together with the family of Yuri Klinsky. We launched this project on Kion. Then everything stopped due to various reasons. And now we are negotiating with Premier, with David Kocharov, on this project. I hope we will shoot in the summer," Vladimir Shchegolkov told Izvestia.

It is planned that filming will take place in Moscow and in the musician's homeland in Voronezh. The creators have already found the main actor, but his name has not yet been disclosed.

"Klinsky, aka Hoi, is a legendary figure for Russian punk rock. At first, we thought we would look for an actor based on his physical appearance. They conducted tests and found people. And then we came across an actor who is just as punk in spirit," said Vladimir Shchegolkov.

He also added that the musician's family is taking part in the creation of the painting.
