Lukashenko discussed sanctions against Belarus with Kellogg


President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and US President's special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg discussed sanctions against Belarus, conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine during the talks. This was reported by The New York Times (NYT) on June 21.
It is specified that the meeting of the country's leader with the special envoy lasted six and a half hours.
"The talks <...> touched upon issues of American and European sanctions against Belarus, conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as Belarus' relations with Russia and China," Natalia Eismont, the press secretary of the Belarusian leader, told the newspaper.
Lukashenko's meeting with Kellogg ended in Minsk earlier that day. During the talks, the Belarusian leader said that the politician would be safe during his stay in the republic. In turn, Kellogg thanked Lukashenko for the meeting and noted the importance of preserving wisdom and justice.
