Iran is ready to hold negotiations on the nuclear program, however, it excludes the possibility of a complete shutdown of the nuclear industry in the country. This was stated on June 21 by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

"We are ready for dialogue and cooperation in order to strengthen trust in the field of peaceful nuclear activities. However, we categorically do not accept the reduction of nuclear activity to zero," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the Nournews agency.

As noted by "Gazeta.Pezeshkian also promised to give a crushing response to the ongoing aggression from Israel.

During the conversation, Macron condemned the Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities and stressed that France was not involved in the preparation of these attacks.

Earlier in the day, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the Islamic Republic is ready for negotiations, but for them it is first necessary to stop the aggression from Israel. The Iranian Foreign minister stressed that U.S. involvement in Israel's ongoing attacks on Iran would be "very regrettable" and "extremely dangerous for everyone."
