Prankers Vovan and Lexus talked about the basic principles of cyberbullying

Personal data leaks, a network of call centers in Ukraine, and droppers are the main elements of cyberbullying in Russia. This was announced on June 21 by Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus) at the session "Cyberbullying as an information warfare tool. A New Look at Digital Threats and the Security of Society" at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
"Fraud itself is based on three pillars: This is a leak of personal data, the very infrastructure of call centers in Ukraine, and the drops are people who cash out this money and transfer it to Ukraine," Stolyarov stressed.
According to him, both young and elderly people become victims of fraudsters. He noted that this is due to the low awareness of the population about the methods of intruders.
"It was very important for us to understand how call centers work, because most people still have a 10-year-old story. In fact, this is a very serious structure that is controlled by representatives of the Ukrainian authorities," Kuznetsov added.
On June 18, VTB Vice President Dmitry Revyakin announced at SPIEF that the number of thefts of funds in online banks had halved, despite a 50% increase in fraudulent attacks. According to him, due to the increased protection of online services, attackers are increasingly using social engineering methods and convincing citizens to transfer money on their own.
