Belarus has released 14 prisoners after a meeting between President Alexander Lukashenko and US President Donald Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg. This was announced on June 21 by Kellogg's deputy John Koal.

"Today, 14 prisoners were released from Belarus," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Koal also thanked the Lithuanian government for their cooperation and assistance. In turn, Belarusian oppositionist Svetlana Tikhanovskaya posted on her page on the social network X (ex. Twitter) stated that her husband Sergei was allegedly among those released and she had already met with him outside of Belarus.

The meeting between Lukashenko and Kellogg took place earlier in the day. During the talks, the parties discussed international issues, the general situation in the world and relations between Belarus and the United States.
