At a meeting with the US President's special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko assured that he would be safe during his stay in the republic. This was reported by BelTA on June 21.

"Mr. General, I promise you that you will be completely safe on the territory of Belarus and during this time there will be no escalation not only in Belarus, but also around us," Lukashenko said.

In turn, Kellogg thanked Lukashenko for the meeting and stressed that in conditions of global instability it is important to preserve wisdom and justice, otherwise crises can quickly escalate.

Lukashenko's meeting with Kellogg took place in Minsk earlier that day. It was clarified that during the talks they discussed international issues, the general situation in the world and relations between Belarus and the United States.
