There was no nuclear material at the facility attacked by Israel in Isfahan, Iran, so the risk of radiological contamination was excluded. This was announced on June 21 by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi.

"We know this facility well. There was no nuclear material at this facility, and therefore an attack on it would have no radiological consequences," he is quoted as saying on the organization's website.

He clarified that Israel had attacked the centrifuge production facility. Grossi stressed that this is the third such facility that has been subjected to Israeli attacks on facilities related to Iran's nuclear program over the past week.

Earlier in the day, Iran's nuclear facility in Isfahan was attacked by Israel, and no leakage of hazardous materials was recorded. It is noted that Israeli strikes also hit parts of the cities of Lenjan, Mobarakeh, Shahreza and Isfahan.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran and declared a state of emergency in the country. At that time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that the purpose of the military operation was to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, the Islamic Republic launched several waves of missile attacks.
