In Krasnodar Region, a man strangled his niece for criticizing his family

Law enforcement officers detained a resident of the Tikhoretsky district in the Krasnodar Territory, suspected of murdering an underage niece. This was announced on June 21 by the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) for the region.

It is specified that on June 19, 2025, a woman reported to the police about the disappearance of her 16-year-old daughter, who was not going to leave the house for a long time. Upon the incident, investigators opened a criminal case under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").

Later, law enforcement officers established the involvement of the 41-year-old uncle of the missing girl in her murder and detained him. During the interrogation, the attacker admitted his guilt and said that on the evening of June 19, he and his niece were heading by car to visit his family in the village. On the way, a quarrel arose between the relatives, as the girl criticized the financial situation of her uncle's family. Because of this, the man decided to turn into a wooded area. He stopped the car, got into the back seat where the girl was, tied her hands and strangled her.

According to the press service of the department, the person involved moved the body to a forest belt and threw branches. To deflect suspicion from himself, the man took an active part in the search for his niece. A forensic medical examination is being conducted to establish possible other illegal actions of the suspect.

"The person involved will be charged in the near future. The investigation intends to petition the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention," the agency's Telegram channel says.

On June 19, a resident of Dzerzhinsky near Moscow was arrested for two months, who strangled his girlfriend in a fit of jealousy. According to investigators, on June 10, a quarrel arose between the suspect and his victim, who had previously lived together. As a result, a 20-year-old young man killed a girl, and then, together with his mother, took the body to the Tula region and buried it in a field.
