Sechin gave a forecast on oil prices for the coming year

Rosneft, when planning its work, assumes an oil price of $45 in 2025 and $42-43 in 2026, Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin said during a discussion at the SPIEF Energy Panel.
At the end of the SPIEF Energy Panel, the participants traditionally shared their vision of the prospects for energy prices.
Igor Sechin named the price that Rosneft has included in the business plan for 2025 and 2026: "We do not know what geopolitical factors will affect the market. But whatever they are, our company Rosneft puts $45 in its business plan for this year, and $42-43 for next year. We don't want to depend on this volatility," he said.
However, the head of Rosneft stressed that it is not possible to give an accurate forecast of oil prices. "Whatever it is, it's hard for us to guess what will happen. No one knows. I will remind Machiavelli: "The power of power lies in its secret," he said.
Nobuo Tanaka, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Japanese government's non-profit initiative for the development of low-carbon technologies, recalled that a year earlier, participants in the Energy Panel had predicted an oil price of $60 per barrel. "This year, I'm afraid that the price may exceed $ 100 due to the crisis that is currently taking place in the Middle East," said a Japanese expert who headed the International Energy Agency in the period 2007-2011.
