The Scarlet Sails Alumni Celebration will be held on June 21 in Mariupol.

The main holiday of graduates of the DPR "Scarlet Sails" will be held on June 21 in Mariupol on the territory of the MBU "Mariupol City Aquatic Sports Complex".

The Scarlet Sails festival in Mariupol has been held in the region since 2022. The event is organized by Channel Five, ROSSIYA Joint-Stock Bank and the Foundation for Assistance to Children of Donbass.

More than 150 graduates of Mariupol will take part in the celebration. A grandiose light and music show has been prepared for them, using special effects and pyrotechnics. To implement the plan, more than 400 lighting devices will be used to color the sky above the city.

The event will start at 18:00 Moscow time. First, the graduates will have a concert, and the evening will end with a bright and symbolic passage of the yacht "Assol" under scarlet sails in the waters of the Sea of Azov.

The video clips of the Scarlet Sails festival in Mariupol will be integrated into the broadcast of the Scarlet Sails, which will be held in St. Petersburg on June 28.

Earlier, on June 14, the organizers of the Scarlet Sails said that the key theme of the holiday in 2025, declared the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, is victory. Mikhail Kolpakhchiev, the chief director of the water pyrotechnic show, clarified that the event would raise the issue of victory as a kind of human path in life. According to him, in order to achieve something, it is necessary to make efforts, to overcome oneself.

The Scarlet Sails holiday was revived in 2005 after a long-term hiatus on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
