Director Shchegolkov called the artist Talyzina a part of the cultural code of the Russian Federation

People's Artist of Russia Valentina Talyzina, who passed away, was able to become part of the country's cultural code during her career. Director Vladimir Shchegolkov told Izvestia about this on June 21.

"The fact is that when we now use such a concept as the "cultural code", it is quite obvious that Valentina Talyzina is an integral part of this cultural code. We remember her images from childhood, from the first memories, impressions. This is our past," he said.

The director added that Talyzina was a great actress and starred in many famous films. He stressed that her voice in the songs from the film "Irony of Fate" has been familiar to everyone since childhood.

Producer and director Janik Fayziev emphasized that Talyzina was a pillar of Russian cinema and played a major role in the history of Soviet cinema.

"I've always loved her very much. She was a pillar. So, of course, it's a pain. All her roles are dear to me, I would not single out any particular one. It belongs to the history of Soviet cinema," he said.

Earlier that day, actor Andrei Ankudinov, in an interview with Izvestia, shared his memories of working with Talyzina, emphasizing her perseverance, sincerity and great creative temperament.

Talyzina died on June 21. She played more than 40 central and main roles in the Mossovet Theater and performed about 100 film roles. The actress is known for the films "Irony of Fate, or With a light steam!", "Zigzag luck", "Old robbers", "Athos" and other works.
