Zelensky appointed Kravchenko Prosecutor General of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, June 21, signed a decree appointing Ruslan Kravchenko as the country's prosecutor General.
"Appoint Ruslan Andreevich Kravchenko as the Prosecutor General [of Ukraine]," the document says.
The post of Prosecutor General has been vacant since October last year after Andrei Kostin's resignation. It was clarified that this happened against the background of the identification of cases of fictitious disability for officials in Ukrainian government agencies.
The day before, Zelensky signed a decree appointing Gennady Shapovalov to the post of commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Previously, this position was held by Mikhail Drapaty.
