Clandestine tobacco factories shut down in Kuban


Illegal tobacco factories have been shut down in the Krasnodar Territory. This was announced on Saturday, June 21, by the FSB Department of Russia.
According to the agency, 3 million packs of cigarettes, 10 thousand tons of tobacco and other components of questionable quality were seized. The total value of the seized property exceeds 1 billion rubles. The workshops for the production of illegal tobacco products were located underground and had been operating for about two years.
"The activities of large full—cycle production facilities for the manufacture of counterfeit tobacco products located in the city of Krasnodar, the villages of Vasyurinskaya in the Dinsky district and Rogovskaya in the Timashevsky district of the Krasnodar Territory have been suppressed," RIA Novosti quoted the FSB as saying.
On June 18, in Kabardino-Balkaria, police seized a large shipment of illegal cigarettes worth 10.8 million rubles. During the inspection, 80 thousand packs of cigarettes of various names without special labeling were found in the car body. The investigators opened a criminal case under paragraph "b" of Part 6 of Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, purchase, storage, transportation or sale of goods without labeling).
