US President Donald Trump will try to resolve the conflict with Iran diplomatically until the last moment. This was stated on June 21 by US Vice President Jay Dee Vance on the air of the American Fox News channel, commenting on Trump's position on the Iranian nuclear program.

"He (Trump. — Ed.) intends to use diplomacy as long as he believes that there is such an opportunity. And when he decides that diplomacy has exhausted itself, that new negotiations will not yield anything, then, I think, he will do everything necessary to stop the Iranian enrichment program and the nuclear program in general," Vance stressed.

The vice president noted that the American leader would make the final decision on this issue, and "the time for diplomacy is running out," she added. "Газета.Ru ".

According to Vance, Trump consistently defends the national interests of the United States. Despite the numerous speculations on the Internet, he stressed that both in private conversations and in public, the president remains focused on the main task — to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

The Axios news agency reported on June 17 that Trump, along with his team, is considering the possibility of a strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. It was noted that he met with his national security team at the White House to make a decision on US policy regarding the conflict between Israel and Iran.
