If Ukraine uses the so-called "dirty bomb," Russia will respond appropriately. This was stated on June 21 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"About possible attempts by the enemy to create and use the so-called dirty bomb, which was mentioned yesterday by President (Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. — Ed.). This would, of course, be an extremely dangerous provocation, which would have to be responded to proportionately," Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, Moscow would have responded to the attack with a "clean bomb" — tactical nuclear weapons (TNW). He noted that Russia has enough such weapons, and their use will be a mirror response to Ukraine's actions.

On the eve of the Russian President Vladimir Putin at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025) said that a possible decision by Ukraine related to the use of a "dirty bomb" against the Russian Federation would be the last mistake of the Kiev regime. At the same time, the head of state pointed out that Moscow has no confirmation of such plans of Kiev.
