A girl in Moscow was forcibly held in an apartment in order to extort $18 thousand from her. This was announced on June 20 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation of the capital.
"At the request of the investigation, the defendants were arrested for a number of crimes against the girl. <...> According to the investigation, the defendants, being in the apartment of a residential building located on Moldagulova Street in Moscow, held the girl in order to extort $18 thousand from her," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the accomplices of the case also committed violent acts of a sexual nature against the girl. A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation 9 ("Violent acts of a sexual nature"), paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code ("Unlawful imprisonment") and paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code ("Extortion"). Investigative actions are continuing, the department added.
The Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg reported on June 7 that fraudsters convinced a 13-year-old child to let them into an apartment and stole more than 6.2 million rubles. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft").
