On June 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense spoke about the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of Sergeant Viktor Buzinaev, who, leading a fire support group, carried out the task of securing new positions occupied by Russian attack aircraft during the offensive in an important direction.

Buzinayev, while occupying a position near the line of contact, noticed an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) under artillery and mortar fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and destroyed it with small arms. After that, the sergeant gave the group the command to change positions, as they could be spotted by drones.

The enemy struck at the initial coordinates of Buzinaev's group, which allowed the sergeant to determine the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to this, the Russian military managed to repel the attacks of the Ukrainian militants and gain a foothold on new frontiers, which further contributed to the advance of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation deep into the enemy's defenses in this direction.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the actions of Corporal Nikolai Lovyagin, who acted as part of a reconnaissance group and carried out tasks to protect Russian units from enemy UAVs.

During combat duty, under constant artillery fire, the sergeant discovered an APU drone. Lovyagin used an anti-drone rifle, which suppressed the control channels and landed the UAV at a safe distance from the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.

Thanks to his precise actions, the enemy lost the opportunity to adjust artillery fire from his drone, which made it possible to ensure the safety of Russian servicemen.

Earlier that day, the gunners of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces identified and destroyed the infantry stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army area of the special operation.
