As long as Israel's attacks on Iran continue, the Islamic Republic will not negotiate. This was stated on June 20 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi following talks in Geneva.

"If the aggression is stopped and the aggressor is held accountable for the crimes he has committed, Iran is ready to consider diplomacy," the Iranian state—run IRNA news agency quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.

According to Araqchi, in this case, Iran will support the continuation of dialogue with Britain, Germany, France and other European countries in the near future. In addition, the Foreign Minister stressed that the Islamic Republic will defend the right to legitimate defense in order to stop the aggression of the Israeli army.

In addition, the head of the department stressed that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful, so the attack by the Israeli army is "considered a grave crime" and a violation of peremptory norms of international law.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025) that the West was not seeking to focus on Israeli strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities and was discussing other things. She noted that the statement by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that Iran has no signs of developing nuclear weapons, which worries Israel, proves the unprovoked nature of Tel Aviv's aggression.
